SAGO MANCHURIAN

INGREDIENTS
FOR SAGO BALLS
- sago - 1 cup
- capsicum - 1 small , finely chopped
- cabbage - 1, cup shredded
- carrot - 1, finely chopped
- spring onion- 1 cup , finely chopped
- black pepper powder - 1/4 tea spoon
- salt - according to taste
- ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tea spoon
- corn flour - 1 tea spoon
- oil - for frying
- garlic - 1/2 tea spoon , finely chopped
- ginger - 1/2 tea spoon , finely chopped
- spring onion - 1/2 cup , finely chopped
- soy sauce - 2 tea spoon
- chilly sauce - 1 tea spoon
- vinegar - 1/2 tea spoon
- black pepper powder - 1/4 tea spoon
- salt - according to taste
- corn flour - 2 tea spoon
- water - 1 -2 cups ( adjust according to consistency)
Procedure:
FOR SAGO BALLS
- soak sago in enough water for 4 hrs
- then mix the soaked sago with chopped carrot , capsicum , cabbage & spring onion . Add salt ,ginger garlic paste & black pepper powder . Add corn flour to the mixture
- the water present in veggies are enough to make thick dough . Make small balls & keep aside
- on medium flame , deep fry the balls till they turn golden brown , keep aside
FOR MANCHURIAN GRAVY
- in a pan add 1 tea spoon oil . to it add finely chopped ginger and garlic. saute
- add spring onion, chilly sauce & soy sauce .
- add a cup of water and mix it well
- prepare corn starch by adding 2 tea spoon of corn flour with 1/4 th cup of water. add it and continue to stir
- add salt , black pepper powder and vinegar
- get to a boil & check for consistency
NOW ADD THE SAGO BALLS TO THE MANCHURIAN GRAVY AND STIR NICELY , GARNISH WITH CHOPPED SPRING ONIONS
SAGO MANCHURIAN CAN BE SERVED WITH VEGETABLE NOODLES AND VEG FRIED RICE
